SOUTH EL MONTE — The Sheriff’s Temple Station is asking for the local public’s assistance in locating missing 16 year old Richard Guevara out of the South El Monte, California area.
Richard was last seen on July 19, 2017, at the library on 1430 Central Ave. in South El Monte around 2 p.m. He was last seen wearing a black “Star Wars” T-shirt, blue jeans, black-and-red tennis shoes, and a blue “Dallas Cowboys” baseball cap with a white star.
He may be on his bicycle which is a chrome Schwinn with red lettering, and may have used the bike path near the 605 Freeway as well as the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area. Richard is known to ride his bicycle along this bike path toward the direction of the Santa Fe Dam.
Richard is mentally disabled and has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old, he has also been diagnosed with a bipolar disorder and has made suicidal statements in the past.
Richard is described as:
• GENDER: Male.
• ETHNICITY: Latino.
• HAIR: Black.
• EYES: Hazel.
• HEIGHT: 5 Feet 3 Inches.
• WEIGHT: 130 Pounds.
• OTHER: Scars on the back of his head. Richard has a prosthetic left leg and is missing three toes on his right foot.
